- Disc Code 113 – Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class 12th (but below graduate) with minimum 50% marks (General/EWS/OBC-NCL) or 45% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized Institute/Board.
- Disc Code 114 – Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders): Class 12th (but below graduate) plus Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ for training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Government.
- Qualification must be from a recognized University/Institute as a full-time regular course. Qualifications acquired through Part-time / Correspondence / Distance Learning mode are NOT ELIGIBLE.
- For Graduate and Technician disciplines, qualification must be acquired between 01.04.2022 and 28.02.2026.
- For Trade Apprentices (ITI/Data Entry Operator), qualification must be acquired between 01.04.2021 and 28.02.2026.
- Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent are NOT ELIGIBLE.
- Diploma holders under lateral entry scheme (Class XII (Sc)/ITI admitted in 2nd year) are also eligible subject to prescribed percentage in aggregate of all semesters.
- A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, and the second training shall not be in the same trade.
Salary / Stipend
- Rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025 as amended from time to time.

Selection Process
- Candidates must register successfully on NAPS/NATS portal and apply against the notification to be considered for the selection process.
- There will be no written test or interview.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks secured in the essential prescribed qualification for the respective post.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
- Shortlisted candidates must complete a Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test and be adjudged medically fit as per IndianOil’s pre-engagement medical format.
- Candidates whose documents and Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Certificate are found in order shall be issued an Offer of Engagement for Apprenticeship Training.
- Opportunities not filled through the initial shortlisting shall be filled by eligible candidates from the merit cum panel list for the same opportunity.
General Information / Instructions
- Candidates must apply only for ONE discipline code. Applications for more than one discipline code will be summarily rejected.
- Applicants must submit applications only against vacancies notified under the states of Western Region (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, UT of Daman & Diu, UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli). Selection of training locations outside notified states will result in rejection.
- Candidate profile on the portal must be 100% complete (Personal Details, Educational Details, Category, etc.).
- The candidature of the applicant shall be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials.
- Any false or incorrect information furnished at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature and liability for criminal prosecution.
- Candidates should maintain the same registered email ID and mobile number till completion of apprenticeship training.
- SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates applying for Unreserved (UR) seats shall be considered subject to fulfilling standards applicable to General category candidates.
- PwBD candidates are NOT eligible to apply for Discipline Codes 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111.
- Reservation will be applicable as per the prescribed percentage for the respective States/UT.
- No. of seats indicated is tentative and may increase or decrease at the absolute discretion of management.
- Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period, IOCL shall have NO obligation to offer employment, nor can an Apprentice claim the right for employment.
- A minimum one-year gap between two apprenticeship trainings is required, provided the previous training is completed.
