Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- General Manager (Technical) (E7): Full-time Engineering Graduate with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Naval Architecture disciplines from a recognised University/Institute registered with AICTE. Desirable – Post-graduation in Engineering/Management.
- General Manager (HR) (E7): Full-time Graduate in any discipline with not less than 60% marks and full-time Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Management with specialization in HR/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labour Welfare from UGC-recognised University/Institute with not less than 60% marks. Desirable – Degree in Law.
- Deputy General Manager (HR) (E5): Full-time Graduate with 60% marks and full-time PG Degree/Diploma in Management specializing in HR/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labour Welfare with 60% marks. Desirable – Degree in Law.
- Manager (HR) (E3): Full-time Graduate with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) and full-time PG Degree/Diploma in Management with specialization in HR/Personnel Management/Labour Laws from UGC-recognised University/Institute. Desirable – LLB/LLM.
- Deputy Manager (Safety) (E2): Full-time Engineering Graduate with not less than 60% marks in any discipline from AICTE-recognised University/Institute and full-time Diploma (not less than 1 year) in Industrial Safety from recognised University/AICTE.
- Deputy Manager (Finance) (E2): Graduate with Qualified/Passed Final Examination from ICAI/ICWAI; MBA Finance desirable.
- Senior Chief Project Superintendent (Technical) (FTC): Full-time Engineering Graduate with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Naval Architecture disciplines; Post-graduation in Engineering/Management desirable.
- Senior Consultant (Marine Technical Works): Engineering Graduate or equivalent in Civil Engineering from AICTE-recognised University/Institute; Post-graduation in Civil Engineering and Marine works course from IIT/other reputed institute desirable.
2. Experience
- GM (Technical/HR): At least 22 years of post-qualification experience in Indian Navy/PSUs/large reputed private companies with specified shipbuilding/HR experience and minimum 3 years in immediate lower grade or equivalent CTC and level in private sector.
- DGM (HR): At least 15 years’ post-qualification HR/Personnel/IR experience with required lower grade/CTC experience.
- Manager (HR): Minimum 9 years’ post-qualification experience in HR/Personnel/IR/Legal/Administration in Govt/PSU/large private companies; preference for legal and RTI experience.
- Deputy Manager (Safety): Minimum 5 years’ experience in Safety department in PSUs/large industrial establishments with statutory compliance exposure under Factories Act and AP Factory Rules.
- Deputy Manager (Finance): Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in Finance/Cost Accounting/Management/Funds/Budgeting/Auditing/Cost control in Govt/PSU/Private of repute.
- Senior Chief Project Superintendent (Technical): At least 24 years’ post-qualification experience with shipbuilding/design/repairs/warships/submarines and specified minimum service in lower grade/CTC levels.
- Senior Consultant (Marine Technical Works): At least 25 years’ experience in planning/construction of defence projects, marine works (jetties/bridges), with structural design knowledge; retired Group A officers in pay level 13 of 7th CPC preferred.
3. Age Limit (as on 23/12/2025)
- GM (Technical/HR): Maximum 52 years.
- DGM (HR) & Manager (HR): Maximum 45 years.
- Deputy Manager (Safety/Finance): Maximum 35 years.
- Senior Chief Project Superintendent (Technical): Maximum 56 years.
- Senior Consultant (Marine Technical Works): Maximum 62 years.
- Relaxations: 5 years relaxation in age and 1 year in lower-grade experience for internal permanent employees; age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-servicemen as per Government rules.
Selection Process
- Candidates meeting essential qualification, experience and grade/CTC criteria will be shortlisted for interview, conducted either online (VC mode) or physically at HSL, Visakhapatnam.
- The selection process may include group discussion, preliminary screening interview and final selection interview; decision of the selection committee will be final.
- Shortlisting may be in a ratio not exceeding 06 times the number of vacancies, based on percentage of marks in essential qualification/graduation if large number of applications are received.
- Shortlisted candidates called for physical interview will be reimbursed 1st AC train fare (P1–P4 posts) and 2nd AC train fare (P5–P6 etc.) by shortest route; air travel is allowed at candidate’s option but reimbursement limited to train fare.
- Detailed scrutiny of applications will be done and mere issuance of call letter does not imply eligibility; management reserves right to change selection criteria or cancel the recruitment process.

Important Dates
Salary/Stipend
- Permanent Positions: IDA pay scales – E7: Rs. 1,00,000 – 2,60,000; E5: Rs. 80,000 – 2,20,000; E3: Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000; E2: Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000.
- In addition to Basic Pay, regular officers are entitled to Industrial DA, HRA, Allowances (27% of Basic Pay under cafeteria approach subject to Govt review), Contributory PF, Gratuity, reimbursement of medical expenses at CGHS rates for in-patient treatment, leave encashment, subsidized lunch and other benefits as per company policies/Govt regulations.
- Senior Chief Project Superintendent (Technical) – FTC: Approx. consolidated pay of Rs. 2,15,000/- per month on fixed term contract for 3 years extendable by 1+1 years or till 60 years of age, whichever earlier.
- Senior Consultant (Marine Technical Works): Rs. 1,20,000/- per month with retention incentive of Rs. 3,000/- on completion of every year till contract closure, with TA/DA, travel arrangements (for non-Vizag residents) and accommodation as per E7-equivalent rules.
Instructions
- Indian Nationals only are eligible to apply.
- All vacancies are primarily for Visakhapatnam; selected officers may be transferred to project locations for up to 2 years in one stretch and may undertake outstation duties to Delhi/Yards/Vendor premises as required.
- Applications submitted other than the prescribed online method will be rejected; incomplete applications or those lacking requisite documents will be summarily dismissed.
- Aggregate percentage of marks shall not be rounded off; for CGPA/OGPA/Grade, conversion to percentage must follow University formula or factor 10 with documentary proof where no formula is prescribed.
- Training period, teaching experience, apprenticeship/internship and sabbatical/extraordinary leave will not be counted toward required experience.
- Reservation rules for SC/ST/OBC/EWS will apply; category certificates must be in prescribed format and within one year from date of advertisement for OBC (non-creamy layer) and EWS “Income & Asset” certificates.
- Candidates from Govt/PSU/private sector must submit NOC/CTC and turnover proof as applicable; failure to do so may lead to summary rejection.
- All original documents will be verified at the time of interview; non-production will debar the candidate from interview and travel fare reimbursement.
